🏝️ Snorkeling Spots & Locations

? Manta Point

Depth: 5–15mDifficulty: Easy–ModerateManta odds: ~80%

A natural cleaning station where manta rays gather year-round to be cleaned by small reef fish. Snorkelers float on the surface while mantas glide below — often within 3–5 meters. Best visibility April–November. Currents can be moderate; our guides use drift snorkeling technique to keep everyone safe.

? Crystal Bay

Depth: 3–10mDifficulty: EasyVisibility: 15–30m

A sheltered bay with excellent visibility, healthy coral reefs, and abundant reef fish. Ideal for underwater photography. From July to October, lucky snorkelers may spot the elusive Mola Mola (sunfish) — a bucket-list encounter for ocean lovers.

? Wall Point

Depth: 3–12mDifficulty: Easy–ModerateType: Coral wall

A coral wall snorkel site where you drift along a drop-off, seeing a wide variety of fish and coral along the wall. Clear water most days, though currents can pick up — your guide will choose the best drift direction based on daily conditions.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book?+

Fill in the form on this page and we'll confirm availability within 2 hours. We'll then send you payment details and a booking confirmation.

Are there any hidden fees?+

No hidden fees — but there are two mandatory government fees paid at the harbour that are not included: the Island Management Fee (IDR 25,000 per person) and the Marine Protected Area Fee (IDR 100,000 per person). Please bring small cash for these.

What's the boat capacity?+

This is a private trip — the price covers your group of up to 4 people. No strangers on the boat. For 5–6 guests, contact us for a custom quote.

Is this trip suitable for beginners?+

Yes. Life jackets are mandatory for everyone and our guides give a full safety briefing plus in-water assistance. The currents at Manta Point can be moderate, so we use drift snorkeling techniques suitable for all skill levels. Non-swimmers are welcome.

Do you provide hotel pickup?+

Hotel pickup in Bali (Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua) is available as a paid add-on. Please add this as a special request when booking and we'll send you a quote based on your hotel location.

How do I get to Nusa Penida if I'm staying in Bali?+

Take a fast boat from Sanur Port — the crossing is 30–45 minutes. We offer a round-trip transfer add-on ($25 USD per person). Boats leave Sanur from around 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

How likely am I to see manta rays on this trip?+

Around 80% on this tour. Manta Point is a natural cleaning station where mantas visit year-round, with the best odds during the dry season (April–November). We can never guarantee 100% — they are wild animals.

Can I touch or feed the manta rays?+

No. We follow a strict manta ray code of conduct: stay at least 3 meters away, never touch, chase, ride, or block a manta, and never enter a cleaning station.

What happens if the weather is bad?+

Your safety is our priority. If conditions are unsafe, we'll notify you the evening before and offer a full refund or a free reschedule.

Is there a minimum age?+

Yes — the tour is suitable for ages 7 and up. Children under 7 are not permitted on the boat for safety reasons.
